Locally, she serves as Treasurer of Breese District 12 Band Boosters and is a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Clinton County Farm Bureau, and Kaskaskia Country Beekeeping Club. A rice farmer, Hillman, 58, was first elected to as Farm Bureau's president in 2019 and before that he served 11 years as the organization's vice president. The Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) is a nonprofit U.S. organization controlled by farmers who join the IFB through one of the 96 county Farm Bureaus in Illinois.
